Southern Moreton Bay Islands Museum
Preserving the island’s people, industries, and way of life.
Overview
The Southern Moreton Bay Islands have been home to rich and diverse communities for over 25,000 years, from the region’s First Nations peoples to early European settlers and beyond.
Our island-based museum — located on Russell Island — is a proud sub-branch of the Redlands Coast Museum, capturing the unique stories of the islands through objects, photos, and exhibits that reflect the region’s cultural, economic, and environmental history.
