This eclectic exhibition of beautifully hand-crafted artworks is on display in the Dunn Wing Art Gallery at Redland Museum, from 30 April to 6 June 2025.
Fifteen members of the Queensland Branch of ATASDA (The Australian Textile Art and Surface Design Association) have used a wide variety of mediums, techniques, and styles to interpret the theme and weave their personal narratives into their works.
Embroidery, collage, upcycling, felting, patchwork, mixed media, surface design, stitching, lettering, stencilling, fabric manipulation, and more create a vibrant and cohesive display. The exhibition highlights how textile art has evolved into an exciting artform in its own right, far beyond its traditional functional purpose. You will be intrigued and inspired by this stimulating, thought-provoking showcase.
As both ATASDA members and individual artists, these creators have exhibited widely across Australia and internationally.
