Glass Fusing Workshop

Overview

2026 Heritage Artisan Faire Workshops – Rediscovering the Past Through Craft.

Glass Fusion Coaster Workshop

Step back in time and explore the art of glass fusing in this hands-on workshop. Create a mosaic coaster, with separate sessions tailored for children and adults to suit different skill levels. Learn techniques for arranging and fusing glass to make a vibrant, personal piece to take home.

Afternoon 1.00pm – 4.30pm

As part of AdventureFest 2026, Redlands Coast Museum invites you to embark on The Heritage Artisan Faire Workshops: a hands-on journey through heritage skills, artistry, and self-discovery. Vintage trades meet modern creativity in a series of immersive workshops that celebrate craftsmanship as a living link between past and present.

As part of the Heritage Artisan Faire Workshops at Redlands Coast Museum and celebrating Redlands Coast AdventureFest, join this hands-on glass Fusing Coaster Workshop facilitated by Peter Kane and create your own unique mosaic coasters.

Adult Workshop – Grapes & Glass

Afternoon Session | 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Enjoy a relaxed, social workshop experience — including a glass of wine — while creating two 10cm x 10cm mosaic coasters.

Participants will receive an introduction to glass cutting and shaping techniques, including how to cut and break glass using running pliers and grozier pliers. This session is more in-depth and ideal for beginners through to experienced makers wanting to refine their skills.

Includes:

  • Take-home tool kit
  • All materials
  • Kiln firing
  • Glass of wine or juice

Create a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by your own design — practical, personal and made to treasure.
