The museum is fully accessible, with step-free entrances and wide galleries to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Complimentary wheelchairs are also available from Reception — just ask when you arrive.

Clearly marked accessible restrooms are available on-site, equipped for visitors with disabilities.

Benches and seating areas are located throughout the museum for your comfort and convenience.

We participate in the Sunflower initiative scheme, offering discreet support for visitors with hidden disabilities. Please ask our team for assistance anytime during your visit.

Baby changing tables are available in designated restrooms for families with young children.

Our Café offers a selection of refreshments and caters to various dietary requirements.

Visitor Services

Guided tours are available upon request and can be tailored to meet specific accessibility needs.

Guide, hearing, and assistance dogs are always welcome. Water bowls are available — just ask at Reception. The adjacent parkland can also be used for pet relief.

Visitors holding a Companion Card can enjoy free general admission for their support person. If you’re attending a catered event and have dietary considerations, please contact us ahead of time to make arrangements.

Our Reception is the first point of contact for any questions or special requests. First Aid kits are located throughout the museum, and a defibrillator is available at Reception.

Emergency Exits & Evacuation

Emergency alarms include both sound and flashing lights to alert all visitors.

Exit signs and evacuation diagrams are clearly displayed throughout the museum.

All emergency exits and evacuation routes are kept clear at all times.

Trained Fire Marshals are on duty and carry two-way radios to provide assistance if needed.

If you may need help during an evacuation, please notify Reception when you arrive.
